Why I use dermaviduals for all facials

For the past 10 years, I have used product ranges that are pretty much the same - they have the same concept and theory behind them.

Dermaviduals is very different to anything I have previously worked with - it’s better - and that’s why I chose their products for all of the facials I offer at Ochre Natural.

The theory behind dermaviduals is that the products work with the skin you have and repair and restore your skin back to its natural healthy self. This is also known as corneotherapy.

Dermaviduals is a customisable skin care range, which is another reason I absolutely love this product for my clients. I can evaluate what products best suit your skin at the time of the facial. This also means that each facial might be different, because I will use different products with different actives and ingredients each time.

It makes it more exciting for me as I get to really work on your concerns instead of using the same ingredients month after month on you - regardless of whether it benefits your skin or not, I don’t have a choice. But by using dermaviduals, I do.

And I am able to educate you so much more with the knowledge I have learnt and using pure actives from my mixing bar which have so many advantages  and benefits to them all.

As with all skincare ranges, dermaviduals works most effectively when you use the full range of products (rather than switching between brands). Because dermaviduals have their own structure to formulate products, I strongly recommend this, as you’ll get the best result from their products.

We’re all guilty of having numerous products sit in our bathroom cupboards that we don’t often use, but a regular home skincare routine is a must if you’re planning to invest in regular facials (which I totally recommend of course!). Even a cleanser and moisturiser to start with is better than nothing at all (believe me, I know it’s hard to get started on a new routine, but your skin will thank me later I promise).

A double cleanse in the evening to remove makeup and daily impurities is a must followed by serum/moisturiser and then a cleanse in the morning to freshen up followed by moisturiser and SPF. Anything else is extra - a face mask applied once a week to give you a boost and a gentle exfoliation if needed.

Serums to target skin concerns are great to add in for in between facials as your skin will be used to them from the facials, so the actives will work even better. I’d strongly recommend eye creams for anyone 30+ - it is one of the most forgotten about products in a home skincare regime but also one of the most concerned areas to treat.

By using dermaviduals I can customise products to suit your individual needs and concerns. This means no more buying “off the shelf” products that Jane Doe is using on her skin (which is the total opposite to your skin!). Dermaviduals have all the base essentials - cleansers, moisturisers, masks and eye creams/gels - but then you can also customise them if required. Serums are all customisable and I will work with you to choose ingredients and actives that suit your skin. You can also purchase pure actives to benefit the skin even more.

These products truly are luxurious and I can’t wait to show you how they will benefit your skin. More information on all our available facials can be found here.
